About

Recruiting software built by a coach and parent

OfferSecured is college recruiting software for high school athletes, parents, and coaches. It helps athletes find the right college programs, reach the coaches who run them, and keep track of every conversation. Built-In Coaching then tells the athlete what to do next with each school, and why.

Why I built it

I live in Boulder, Colorado and coach high school football at Monarch High School and field events for track & field at Peak to Peak Charter School. Every season, athletes and their parents ask me the same questions: which colleges are realistic, who the right coach is, and how to reach them.

The answers were harder to find than they should be. Coaching staffs change every year, contact details are spread across hundreds of athletics websites, and a lot of what families are sold is a profile that waits for a coach to find it. Coaches want to hear from the athlete directly.

I've also been through recruiting as a parent, twice: once for Division II and III football, and once for Division I through III women's track & field. I was an athlete myself, too.

So I built OfferSecured. Anyone can look up a college coaching staff for free. Athletes write to coaches themselves, from their own email address, so the conversation is theirs from the first message.

Before OfferSecured, I spent my career in executive product leadership: Senior Director of Product Management for Windows Phone at Microsoft, Director of Product Management for the Kindle reading apps at Amazon, and Vice President of Products at Oracle. I also founded and sold a company that built software to help keep kids safe online. I studied engineering and business at the University of Pennsylvania and earned my MBA at the Wharton School.

What OfferSecured is

  • A free directory of college coaching staffs for NCAA and NAIA programs, collected from each school's official athletics website. Staff pages show the date they were last verified. No account needed to look up a coach.
  • Tools for athletes to write personal emails to coaches, send them from their own email address, and track every reply in one inbox.
  • Built-In Coaching, so athletes take control of their own recruiting. For every school on their list it gives ranked next steps, such as replying to a coach's question, sharing film or following up, each with the reason it is there. No paying a service to promise “exposure” or to contact coaches on the athlete's behalf. Linked parents see the same steps, read-only.
  • $249 a year for athletes. Free for parents and coaches. See pricing.

What it is not

  • Not a recruiting service that contacts coaches for you. Every email is written for that program and goes out only when the athlete sends it.
  • Not a guarantee of a roster spot or a scholarship. Coaches decide that.
  • Not affiliated with the NCAA or the NAIA.
  • Not a career-coaching business. Any company with a similar name is unrelated to us.
